Happy 37th Anniversary!

According to traditional anniversary gifts… alabaster?!

On this date, May 27, 1980, 37 years ago, the Clinton High School class of 1980 was crossing the stage to the tune of Pomp and Circumstance, and we were heralded as high school graduates!  Last year I had some newspaper clippings which had been run in the Clinton Herald (see what I did there?  heralded – Herald?  Ah, come on, laugh a little, life is short.)  I could insert them again, but heck, just look for last year’s “anniversary” announcement in the archives.

No, this year I will dig out that ol’ senior year CHS Yearbook and scan in some as of yet not used images (you do realize this is where most of this material comes from, don’tcha?)  Anyway, do you remember…

(I hope) you can read this one (below) without a “caption”.  But worth noting are the IBM punch cards being thrown in the air by the cartoon student.  Punch cards?!  Tell your ‘tech-savvy’ kids about that and watch their faces’ scrunch up and say, “WHAT!?!”
