Make Mine Forty-One!
This is of course “old news”, but after much discussion and before the world went totally topsy-turvy the reunion committee had already met, the date was set, as well as the location and then topsy-turviness set in. *WHAM* “No 40th reunion for you!”
We polled the masses (… well we attempted to…) through both email and The Facebook and the overwhelming majority agreed we should wait. So we a couple more times, social distancing of course, and came up with a new date.
You all should have gotten the “Change-the-Date” card in the mail months ago. If not… we don’t have your “snail-mail” address! Send it in to us, please! (Postmaster@CHSClassOf1980.com)
The new date is (drum-roll…)
Weekend of September 17-19, 2021
We will still be at the Wildrose Casino in Clinton And the previously negotiated rate for rooms, for those that need one, is still good, and still a good deal!… $59/night! Other details, like food and such are still being worked on. As are other activities for that weekend.
The upside? We were able to get a home football game weekend, which was our original intent when we moved to a fall date for the 40th, but the football schedule was unavailable originally and we had limited options for the reunion date. So we ended up with a fall reunion, but no home game. That’s been fixed by COVID-19! (<< Silver-lining, every cloud has one!)
If there is something you would like to do AND you think others will want to as well, let us know and we will see what happens. You realize if you come up with the idea, that also means you may be asked to help organize said activities! Now how much do you want to do it?!?
